THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED AND WINNER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JOINING EVERYONE! KEEP SUPPORTING WORKS OF LOCAL AUTHORS LIKE MINA!
As much as I love reading books from known authors worldwide, nothing beats the thrill of reading the works of local authors too. It’s just now that my eyes has set upon yet another awesome read from our very own Mina V. Esguerra. Her short story, Fairy Tale Fail was the very first book I got to read from her and I instantly became a fan.
Genre: Chick Lit
Published April 17th 2010

Of all the twenty-something women who are hopeless romantics, Ellie Manuel is more “hopeless” than “romantic.”
Even after her Prince Charming broke up with her, she just won’t give up … because fairy tale heroines don’t live “happily ever after” right away, silly, they’re tested first!
Determined to pass the test, she spends the next year restoring herself to the girl Prince Charming had fallen in love with in the first place.
Until she discovers that life without him might not be so bad after all: her career is taking off, her confidence is back, and the cute guy at work is no longer a stranger.
So when is it okay to quit on a fairy tale?
Ellie Manuel is a believable character that most twenty-something working girls can easily relate to. I know every girl had once looked for Mr. Right and asked for a happy ever after. That is why we can understand what Ellie had gone through with. It was a little annoying that she still waits for that douche after what he did to her but if we put ourselves in Ellie’s shoes, well, I can’t blame her.
Though it’s just a quick read, there was a development and Mina showed her growth as an individual. I like the way Ellie rebuilt herself after the break up, she didn’t immediately venture into another relationship but instead she gradually developed her self-confidence.
Now let’s talk about Lucas. He may not be on top of my list of swoon-worthy guys but he’s definitely somewhere in there. He is far from perfect but his imperfection made him endearing. If you’re looking for a sweet light read full of kilig scenes and charming, characters, Fairy Tale Fail is a good choice.
Which is why I am waaaay too excited to share this awesome read with you guys! Just click on the link to redirect you to the rafflecopter widget that will count all your entries

Good luck everyone!

Anyways, I wanted to actually read that book to know the author behind it on how she connects to the reader as I’ve said I’m not a bookworm but if given a chance I will definitely give my precious time to read this. ^_^
